Zsanna Smith

Zsanna Smith is a Pennsylvania-based dance artist, educator, and arts economist. Her choreographic work is most notably seen at Open Stage Theater in Harrisburg, PA, where she has set dance numbers for productions including Ride the Cyclone, Winnie the Pooh, and The Wizard of Oz. In the contemporary dance scene, she co-choreographed and performed in A to Z Choreography: A Contemporary Movement Concert, a 45-minute performance featured at the 2024 Harrisburg Fringe Festival. Locally, Zsanna is dedicated to nurturing young talent as a dance instructor at various studios and arts centers.

Beyond the stage, Zsanna is deeply invested in arts research and advocacy. In 2024, she was honored with the Excellent Dance Researcher Award from Slippery Rock University for her paper, “Money in Movement: A Cry for Federal Arts Advocacy,” which she presented at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research.

Zsanna graduated summa cum laude from Slippery Rock University in 2024, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance with concentrations in Business, Performance, and Choreography, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Economics.

Passionate about inspiring the next generation of artists and elevating the role of dance within the cultural landscape, Zsanna continues to combine her creative vision with a commitment to the arts.
