    Christine Gameos

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    As a dedicated alumna and lifelong patron of the arts, Christine is thrilled to be working with Confluence Ballet in their mission to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in the realm of dance and far beyond. Her involvement in the arts community ranges from a decade of dance to a lifetime of vocal and musical performance here in Pittsburgh and abroad. Christine has spent the greater part of her career working locally and internationally in youth development and advocacy, specifically with survivors of domestic violence, trauma and displacement. After obtaining her master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), she conducted postgraduate research focused on Education in Emergencies (EiE) in Greece’s largest refugee camp. In her current role as Program & Community Engagement Coordinator with Strong Women, Strong Girls, Christine works tirelessly to build community partnerships and create opportunities for our city’s youth. Her service to the community includes services and ongoing support to the Pittsburgh Metropolitan Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Girl Scouts of Western PA and the Mayor’s Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs (OIRA) initiatives. Christine continues to dedicate herself to exploring solutions for and improving equitable access to advocacy, education and opportunity for all.

  • Elena Cvetkovich

    CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Throughout her career, Elena Cvetkovich’s versatility and verve on stage earned her a place at the forefront of the stage. As a young dancer, she immersed herself in a diversity of styles at schools across the country including Alvin Ailey, Paul Taylor, Alonzo King Lines Ballet, and American Ballet Theater. She graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy with High Honors and the Young Artist Award in dance and eventually joined the professional company Cleveland Ballet. Some of her standout roles with the company include Manuela (Carmen’s nemesis) in Carmen (Guadalupe), Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Ollier), Tweedle Dum in Alice (Sappington), and the Coppelia doll in Ramon Ollier’s reimagined Coppelia.

    Elena has also made significant contributions off-stage. Before joining the Cleveland Ballet, Elena briefly served as Ballet Master at Ballet Western Reserve in Youngstown, Ohio. As a faculty member for the School of Cleveland Ballet, she led the contemporary dance program and outreach division classes which brought ballet education to students from several school districts at no cost to them. She has also choreographed classical and contemporary works for both the School and the professional company.

    In recent years, Elena has been teaching a variety of styles to diverse ages and abilities within the Pittsburgh-Youngstown area and has completed her bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University. A new addition to the Confluence team, Elena is honored to contribute as co-director of the company. She is passionate about challenging the existing hierarchy of bodies and expanding the reach of ballet to new communities.

  • Adrian Green

    CO-ARTISTIC DIRECTOR

    Adrian Green is a multidisciplinary dance artist from Fort Worth, Texas who started his classical dance training at the age of 15 with the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts under the tutelage of Krista Langford. Adrian attended numerous summer programs in the United States and internationally such as the Royal Ballet School, Kansas City Ballet, Glenda Brown Choreography Project, and the Pillow Projects Apprenticeship.

    Adrian is a graduate from Point Park University’s Conservatory of Performing Arts earning his B.F.A in Dance with a concentration in Ballet. While attending Point Park, Adrian rehearsed and performed several works at the university by renowned choreographers and professors such as Justin Peck, Jessica Lang, Martha Graham, and Dan Karasik.

    Adrian was formerly a resident dancer with Texture Contemporary Ballet for the 2022-2023 season and has also performed guest artist roles in the Pittsburgh area. As a professional choreographer, Adrian has created many original classical and contemporary works for dance companies, studios, schools, and competitions and is also a ballet teacher at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and Dance by Cami. As of 2024, Adrian is Co-Artistic Director of Confluence Ballet Company alongside Elena Cvetkovich.
