Shelby Walsh

Shelby Walsh is a Pittsburgh area native who began dancing at the age of three at Arena’s Performing Arts Center. In high school, she attended Ambridge Performing Arts Academy where she trained heavily in ballet with Ken Nickel as well as Point Park University’s Pre-Professional classes. She continued her dance education through multiple summer dance programs including Point Park’s International Summer Dance, Nashville Ballet’s Summer Intensive, and Bodiography’s Summer Intensive.

Shelby continued her education at Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA, where she earned her BA in Dance Performance, Pedagogy, and Choreography. She graduated with honors from the National Honors Society for Dance Arts due to her NDEO membership and work in the dance community. While at college, she was chosen to dance the role of Princess Aurora in an excerpt from Sleeping Beauty and participated in Pittsburgh Ballet Theater’s Residency at the university.
